Signed in plate original linocut.
Printed in 1938 by Lazzaro for XXe Siecle.
In his early career Severini was less attracted to the subject of the machine than his fellow Futurists and frequently chose the form of the dancer to express Futurist theories of dynamism in art. After 1916, Severini became more involved with Cubism and Neo-Classicism but the themes of music and dancing remained an important theme in his work until his death in 1966.
