When it was decided in 1965 to build a nuclear launch station on the Albion plateau not far from Apt and Céreste (France), to which he had remained very attached since the years of resistance, René Char did not hesitate to quickly organise demonstrations against the project and to publish a small booklet in which he vehemently denounced the nuclear threat.
The poster of the same name was printed the following year, in February, with a revised text and an illustration by Picasso.
