Initially inspired by a poster for the film ‘Grapes of Wrath’, this is the type of pick-up truck Henry Fonda might have driven. The cab was a delicate construction, the body and bonnet grew from that. When the newspaper music piece showed up, it seemed perfect for a John Steinbeck character.
