'The Repast (1946) features two women at right angles to each other with a large water jar between them. Again the original terracotta has now been cast in bronze, to great effect. The argument for casting Dobson’s terracottas in bronze posthumously is a convincing one. It rests in the fact that this follows the natural progression, from study to finished sculpture, and that he would have cast the bronzes himself if he could have afforded it, but the high cost of materials all too often prevented him. This loss has now been made good by Goldmark and the artist’s estate.,
